Teach us how to fly

Film follows young Ukrainian photographer Maria, navigating life in war-time Kyiv after de-occupation of the region. She meets her alter-ego, foreign journalist, with whom she starts the odyssey through the city, it’s past and present history, dreams, to re-discover feelings of love and re-define purpose. Liliya reflects on her personal experience of living in constant dichotomy between grief and joy caused by constant attacks on the country.

Films brings together documentary and narrative footage, both shot on 16mm Kodak film in Kyiv and in de-occupied territories.
