YEVA is a Film Director and Actor from Kyiv, Ukraine, based in New York, working across narrative and experimental forms. Her work is recognized for its poetic language and emotional intensity, shaped through intuition, memory, and dreams. Whether she is in front or behind the camera, Yeva works with precision and empathy exploring human nature. She is also known for her film photography work.

Her films have been recognized by the Young Directors Award at Cannes, featured in DIRECTORS’ LIBRARY, received a Silver Award at 1.4, and screened internationally at film festivals where they earned multiple awards for best directing; her photography and films were exhibited in Polygon Art Gallery in Canada, and biggest art festivals in Ukraine Brave factory and Bouquet Kyiv Stage. Her creative process have also been featured by ARRI, CBC, The Produced and Vogue Ukraine.

She is part of film collective WhyBlock14 where she shares her passion with like minded artists, reflecting on cultural and political changes and its influence on individual.

Yeva studied Anthropology at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and earned a BFA in Film Production from University of British Columbia. She is also an alumna of the VIFF Catalyst Mentorship Program. Currently, she is preparing her feature directorial debut.
